Post racial society

My article was from the Los Angeles Times it discussed the mindset of America and its new ideology of being a post racial society the like I disagree. Race plays a key role in our society as far as sociology is concerned as far as politics are concerned and essentially it is a part of American culture and to many what makes America unique.
For many in America racial factors have promoted a strong sense of pride as well as accomplishment in our society as far as individual groups and what credit they feel as if they are entitled to. The meaning of post-racial contradicts the whole idea of entitlement and diminishes contributions of minorities.
On one side there is the issue of history and what we learn from it and teach those coming up through this changing world. Are teachers to teach on Nelson Mandela or Fidel Castro perhaps Christopher Columbus? This makes the situation a bit complex. The factors of race In studies of things such as sociology depend in some areas on the science of race. There is ample medical illnesses that have been tied to race.
The very fabric of culture as well as pride takes root in race in many cases and without the concept of race society would not be able to function correctly. There is no such thing as a post racial society because the only way one can exist is through the extraction of history and science which are far too essential to our society to be removed.
In the LA Times a point was discussed about the timing of the use of the term post racial. It is a term that comes up any time Blacks make progress. Whenever Obama speaks many people say that he speaks well. Why wouldn’t he? He is the president of the USA after all. The ideal of a post racial society in a racially oriented society is an impossibility and is not true for America at this time.
